Charcoal and Pencil

Easily the most accessible medium of art, pencils are the medium I’ve used the longest. All you have to do is pick up a pencil to start creating, whether it’s graphite or a colored pencil. Before I start any art piece, I usually start with sketch using a graphite pencil. In my sketchbook, I also enjoy using colored pencils!

For charcoal, it can be a messy medium but it allows you to push the values on an art piece. I don’t work with charcoal often, but I’ve enjoyed the times I have used it!
